How to handle him

Don't worry: he's friendly. But he's big and strong, so please be careful.

• Friendly with people, not aggressive, hardly ever barks. You can calmly walk up to him, take hold of his collar and clip on a leash.
• Please don't play with him or get him excited: he doesn't realise how big he is and can't stop himself, and for health reasons he mustn't exert himself. Walking pace only, no running.
• He's good with children, but when they run around and move suddenly, he gets overexcited. Better to keep some distance.
• Keep him away from large male dogs: he may get into a fight. He ignores small dogs.
• Near roads, keep him on a short leash: he doesn't understand that cars are dangerous.
• Please don't feed him anything: he's on a raw diet, and bones and table scraps are dangerous for him. Water is fine.
• Responds to «Pulse» / «Пульс».
• He knows commands in Russian: «рядом» (ryadom, heel) and «ждать» (zhdat, wait). Calm discipline settles him.
